Mohamed A. Abd-Elmagid

Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Virginia Tech.

he received his B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt in 2014 and M.S. degree in Wireless Communications from Nile University, Egypt in 2017. He worked as an Exchange Research Assistant at Sabanci University, Turkey, from Oct. 2016 to Feb. 2017. Prior to that, he was a Research Assistant at Nile University, Egypt, from Sep. 2014 to Sep. 2016. His research interests include Age of Information (AoI), Energy Harvesting, Cyber-physical Internet of Things (IoT) Systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Optimization, Queueing Theory, Machine Learning, and Stochastic Geometry. He received the WiOpt 2021 best student paper award.
